Thirty-five years ago, health care law as a distinct practice area for attorneys did not exist. Those who regularly advised clients on real estate, commercial and organizational matters, would occasionally represent a physician. There were no HMO's, PPO's, HIPAA regulations, Stark regulations, HPSA's, anti-trust considerations, Safe Harbor rules, complex Medicare regulation…. Since that time, the health care industry has undergone tremendous changes due to managed care initiatives, aggressive competition, governmental regulation, and technology.

Jeff Kinney has had the advantage of seeing all of these changes occur first hand in the course of his continuing representation for over 35 years. During that time, he has worked closely with physician group practices and physician office practices in Evansville and southwestern Indiana, as well as the competitive offspring of those practices such as HMO's, joint ventures, and managed care alliances.
